Latin Nationals trip changing student lives

Latin Club took a trip to Atlanta in mid-July to participate in Nationals. Latin students competed with other Latin students from around the country in various categories. Students experienced true competitiveness as well as a touch of what college could be like by staying in campus dorms at Emory University.

Student share their thoughts on what it was like to attend Latin Nationals:

“In my opinion, participating in Nationals was undoubtedly one of the most enriching experiences I’ve had to date. It encompassed much more than just tests and competitions. It provided a chance to reside among like-minded individuals for a week, attend a diverse array of events like escape rooms, colloquial discussions, and art exhibitions, as well as the opportunity to explore the campus. If you’ve never lived independently or stayed in dormitories before, Nationals provided invaluable insight into these aspects of life. From the diverse range of events to the friendships forged during the week, Nationals unquestionably ranks among the best experiences I’ve ever had.”

“Going in, I thought it’d be kind of strict and all test-related, but I was so wrong. The week I spent at Nationals was easily the best few days of my life. It was such a bonding experience with everyone, with so many cool activities to do. I’m so glad I decided to join Latin club this year.”
