The volleyball team ended the season with an astonishing win against the Marshall Rams, even though they had a rocky start the first two matches, they finished dominating the Marshall Rams 15-24, 20-25, 13-15.

This win gave the girls a season record of 28 wins and 15 losses. Although this season fell short of play off dreams, this team had something special, and the seniors playing their last game wearing green and gold reflected on the past four years on this team.

“It feels good to finally show off all of our hard work. It’s a bittersweet feeling,” senior outside hitter Hanna Rebar said.

The first two matches didn’t go well at the start. While some fans thought it was all over, the team recovered, and completely turned the game around, winning three matches back to back.

“It felt good that we came back from the first two games. We played together, we worked hard, and proved to ourselves that we could keep fighting,” senior defensive specialist Esmi Salazar said.

Our team had a great season, and represents everything good that our school is about. They started the season off strong with a win and ended the season with a win as well, showing that husky fight never dies.

“We started the season with a game where we were down the first two, and came back and won. And that’s exactly how we finished the season. We work hard, sometimes we make a lot of mistakes, but we always seem to bounce back. The first and last game describes us perfectly,” Rebar said.
