In this week’s edition of HBCN, we look at the topic of PDA (public displays of affection) on campus, asking students what they think about it and what we should do about it.
Many people think it is fine to show PDA, but there should be some limitations.
“PDA is okay sometimes, but there are people who are a lot touchy. Holding hands and respecting each other in a certain way is okay,” senior Isabel Lopez said.
Others see it as inappropriate on school grounds and should not be aloud in school.
“I think it’s gross. If you want to make out, go home and do it. Not at school. I don”t want to see that,” junior Decontee Warlow said.
And most people think there should be a punishment for letting others see the amount of affection shown.
“It is nasty. We came to school to learn, not to make out. You should get kicked out of school if you get caught kissing someone,” junior Rudy Martinez said.
