The new year has started off with new years resolutions, the learning lounge, and the Goldies.

Learning lounge has provided an after school study group for people with harder academic classes.

“Learning lounge is a place right at the library where students are able to come after school and do studies, research, homework and anything academic related,” junior Angelica Bonilla said.

The Goldies started off the year with some inside information on what it’s like to be a Goldie.

“To be a Goldie, it’s a really great experience. We get to do a lot of performances and we stay really late just practicing. The most difficult part of this competition is having to deal with different styles of dancing,” junior Judith Sanchez said.

While many people have made their new years resolution, some decided to tell and keep through their resolutions.

“My new years resolution is to work smarter not harder. Because I am juggling oh-so-many things, from the English department to senior class to all kinds of other stuff, and I have to be more efficient,” teacher Brenda Cornell said.
