This week students talk about promposals and what BPA is and what it means to them.
BPA is for students who are pursuing a career in technology and some of the students talk about what it means to them.
“BPA, Business Professionals of America, is a student organization that allows students who are in technology courses to test themselves with work place assessment programs so they can compete in different events,” business teacher Diana Johnston said.
“BPA is important to me because it has definitely enhanced my leadership skills, my interview skills, presentation skills–pretty much everything that pertains to business and what I want to go into,” junior Alexandria Garcia said.
Prom is right around the corner and students are already doing their promposals, despite discouragement from school staff.
“It’s not a good idea we have to consider the safety of the students and when you have a large group of students gathering in one place and they’re really excited about something it’s just not a good idea.” BC Vice Principal Margaret Bay said.
