AFJROTC will honor the 16th anniversary of the traumatic event that shook the world on September 11, 2001 this upcoming Monday.

Cadets will begin the ceremony at the flag pole Monday morning promptly at 8:03AM; They will honor the lives lost, and remind us all of the historic day in our history.

“All we are doing is reminding everyone and kind of educating the young people, to help them understand what our country went through,” ROTC Instructor Senior Master Sergeant Robert Verastiqui said.

After 16 years it it still something that every American holds in their heart, whether or not they lost someone that day; And it is with those heavy hearts that we as a country grow stronger than we were before.

“Our nation was attacked, [but] we [have] come back, and we are strong again,” SMSgt. Verastiqui said.

The ceremony is open to any students and faculty that wish to offer their time and pay their respects.
