As January rolls in, many of us hit the whole “new year, new me” phase, which clearly states that most of us will stick to whatever it we’re doing to make ourselves better (thought most of us will probably give up). Let’s be honest, 2019 is the year binge-worthy tv series. I know most of us are kind of tired of seeing the overrated shows pop up on our Netflix notifications and Hulu recommendations,  and maybe you need some iconic new tv series to watch for the new year! So here are our top three must-watch shows of January:

American Horror Story

This series is the most underrated series in television history and is a must-watch. If you’re all about splurging season after season, then this series is the right fit for you. The anthology horror series is made up of eight seasons with different characters and locations, and the seasons it include a house with a murderous background, a 1960’s asylum, a witch coven, a 1950’s freak show, a hotel, a lost colony, and lastly, an apocalypse. The series is very unique, connecting season with season, which you don’t get to see very often on similar tv series. The cast includes Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Jessica Lange, Cody Fern, Kathy Bates, Lily Rabe, Taissa Farmiga, Emma Roberts, and many other talented actors.

The show is available on Hulu and Netflix.

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

Have any of you guys heard of the 90’s hit show “Sabrina the Teenage Witch”? Well my friends, there is a new show on Netflix that is catching a lot of attention.  The supernatural horror series is based off of the Archie comic books and revolves around Sabrina Spellmen, played by Kiernan Shipkia, a girl  born half human and half witch. The cast consists of Ross Lynch, Lucy Davis, Miranda Otto, Chance Perdomo, and Jaz Sinclair. The series first aired on October 26th of 2018, but there is a Christmas special right now on Netflix, so don’t forget to watch it.

This show is only available on Netflix.

That ’70s Show

As teens, we are literally heading towards a life of adulting, which seems scary sometimes. But, according the theme song of That 70’s Show, “we’re all alright!” This series reflects on a group of friends who go through the phase from teens to adulthood, in the good-ole Dairy State, Wisconsin. It may not be a new show, but it’s worth a watch all the same! If you’re all about comedy, this show is perfect for you. The cast includes, Laura Prepon, Mila Kunis, Topher Grace, Danny Masterson, Wilmer Valderrama, Ashton Kutcher, Kurtwood Smith, and Debra Jo Rupp.

This show is available on Netflix.
