Mmm, what’s that smell? It’s the enticing smell of pumpkin and cinnamon welcoming us into the wonderful season of fall. The chilling weather, tasty treats, and spooky decorations as we get closer to Halloween are the best things of all.

As summer ends and autumn begins we go from hot and humid to cool and breezy. This is one of the many benefits of fall because who wants to be drenched in sweat as soon as they walk outside?

Definitely not me! I would rather enjoy the chilly weather while I drink a nice warm latte. The trees also play a big part in autumn’s beauty as they slowly change from green to amber and crimson red. Have you ever taken a walk during autumn and watched as the leaves fell and blew around? If not then you are seriously missing out on one of the prettiest scenery ever!

Autumn is known for its seasonal drinks and tasty treats. All the coffee shops are getting ready to make hundreds of pumpkin spice lattes a day and bakeries are stocking up on their delicious treats. From apple cider donuts to every kind of pie you can think of, fall has it all. Now if you’re not a big fan of the traditional pumpkin pie then there are still so many flavors to choose from such as apple, cherry, pecan, and sweet potato. There are also a variety of seasonal drinks like apple cider, pumpkin spice lattes, apple crisp macchiatos, and pecan crunch lattes. Fall offers many things to choose from so when you’re enjoying these tasty treats make sure to take a moment to savor the tastes that make fall so special.

Lastly, one of the most exciting parts of fall are the holidays that come with it. Halloween, the one night a year where you can be anything you put your mind to. Waiting impatiently for the day to arrive as people decorate their houses with glowing jack-o-lanterns and spooky decorations. Kids go from house to house yelling “TRICK or TREAT” eager to see which one they will get. Thanksgiving, where loved ones come together to enjoy a delicious feast while appreciating all the things in life they’re thankful for. Dia De Los Muertos, the colorful, bright day that reunites the living and dead. Families make ofrendas to honor their loved ones who have passed. They are decorated with beautiful flowers, pictures of the departed, and items that the honored loved. Day of the dead is a wonderful holiday for celebrating life and death instead of mourning it.

Embracing these things allow us to fully experience and enjoy the beauties and flavor of the season. Now that you know of just the main reasons why fall is the most wonderful season of all, I hope you choose to participate in the festive season!
