There are so many different national days in March. For instance, a popular one is National Women’s History month. What most people don’t know is March is also National Disabilities Awareness month as well! It is to bring awareness about different challenges, and people with disabilities. Some people even use awareness campaigns such as social media, posters, and so many others to promote awareness.
What is Disability?
People that have disabilities struggle with a physical or mental impairment. There are all different types of disabilities. Physical, mental, intellectual, and sensory are all the different types. Although some may think of this as a flaw, most people consider their disability a strength. According to https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/disability, it states, “A physical, mental, cognitive, or developmental condition that impairs, interferes with, or limits a person’s ability to engage in certain tasks or actions or participate in typical daily activities and interactions,” This explains the exact definition of a disability.
Ways to Spread Awareness
There are many disability awareness campaigns all over the world. These campaigns can educate and inform people in the organization. They can also help by dispelling myths. It can even be as simple as spreading awareness on social media! This way, you can attempt to meet an even larger audience and share information, and stories when spreading awareness.

It is very important to show that people with disabilities have equal opportunities and can participate in all of the aspects of life. Disability equality respects human rights to make sure they’re not discriminated against.
