Have you ever heard of the Conjuring? You may have heard or even seen the movie, “The Conjuring”, but the real question is, do you know about the real story involving the Perron family who lived in the actual home in Rhode Island in 1971? This is the true story without the Hollywood special effects.

The home was said to be “infested with demons”, according to paranormal investigators that were helping the Perron family. The investigators included Ed and Lorraine Warren who were called on by the Perron family. Ed and Lorraine claimed to see a misty figure of a woman and an unseen malevolent presence, cold spots, and strange noises throughout the home. Many other investigators have said to have shared very similar experiences as the Warrens when performing their own investigations.

The Warren’s investigation claimed that the house was haunted by the spirit of Bathsheba Sherman. Bathsheba was a woman who suffered from paralysis and died in 1885 inside the home. The Warrens came to the conclusion that it was in fact the spirit of Bathsheba after investigating and interviewing locals. The Warrens based their findings on local’s stories and common folklore from the area. They received a lot of criticism from the public after the investigation.
