Beyond The Fog

When it turns 8:00 at Seaworld, the park for marine life and cute animals, it turns into something extremely unsettling. The fog machines turn on so you can’t see anything in your sight, while the evil laughs blast out of the overhead speakers. This is SeaWorld’s annual introduction into the Halloween season.
Seaworlds Howl O Scream has been around for 20 years, and it has provided visitors 20 horrifying years of chills and scares. This isn’t just an ordinary Halloween event, it’s an immersive experience filled with frights that will send chills down your spine. The chilling and terrifying screams, the chainsaws and knives, the terrifying rides that seem like they last forever. The creepy actors in terrifying costumes watch your every step, and once you enter the no fog zone, you definitely should be terrified, this sends people running as fast as they can around the park. As the night deepens, every corner of the park becomes a new nightmare. The once bright attractions are now filled in shadows, and the air is thick with fog. You have no idea where the next scare is coming from the moment you’re laughing with your friends, and the next a masked figure is visible from the mist, making you terrified.

The experience doesnt stop with the fog or screams. There are haunted houses and a bunch of eerie themes throughout the park to explore. Even the haunted food stands where you dont even know what you might end up eating. By the time at midnight when it’s time to leave you wont be able to sleep for days due to the Howl O Scream trauma.
8th grader, Emmalea Montelongo, went to Howl-O-Scream recently. She stated that this year’s Seaworld’s Howl-O-Scream is one of the most terrifying experiences she has gone through, because of all the jumpscares she faced. She also stated that Sea Worlds roller coasters are way more scary with all the fog, screaming, and the dark aroma.
For the brave people who think they have enough to enter the Howl-O-Scream, just know it will haunt you for a long time.
