The Journalism Staff at Jordan Middle School is a dynamic and creative group of students dedicated to capturing the stories and experiences that shape their school community. They bring together a variety of talents, from writing and photography to graphic design and editing, each contributing their unique skills to produce engaging and informative content. Whether it’s covering sports events, school celebrations, or important student achievements, the team works together to ensure that every story is told with enthusiasm and accuracy.

What sets the Journalism Staff apart is their go-getter attitude and commitment to excellence. These students are driven, constantly brainstorming new ideas and striving to improve their craft. They embrace collaboration and learn from each other, making it a supportive environment where creativity thrives. Their work not only enhances the school’s communication but also gives students a platform to express themselves and make a lasting impact within their community.

Our Editors

Congratulations to 8th grader, Isabella Larson who has been named Editor in Chief of our Student Newspaper the JagWire. Isabella participates a National Junior Honor Society, Student Council, Spanish Honor Society, maintains A Honor Roll, and is a student athlete. She dedicates her time to helping and reviewing the articles for this year’s themed editions.
Congratulations to 8th grader, Raquel Garcia. She has been named our Jordan Pride Yearbook Editor in Chief. Raquel is an incredible student that maintains A Honor Roll, while participating in Band, and is a student athlete. She has designed and created this year’s theme and cannot wait to reveal it.

Mrs. Neal is a 6th grade ELA teacher at Jordan Multimedia and Design Magnet School. She has been the Journalism teacher at Jordan for the past 9 years, each year trying to get the students’ creativity to come through in their work. This year, they have introduced new podcasts, TikTok, and continued with JagWire, our online Student Newspaper.
