Our Raider band recently performed and site read at Sotomayor Highschool, who hosted UIL. They started off their performance with a strong march titled “FREE WORLD MARCH”; what an epic name paired with an epic band. Their second song that they graced the judges with was a smooth, magical melody called “River of Dreams”. River of Dreams had consisted of flute and trumpet soloists who both slayed their parts! The last song they played was a story named “Latin Folk Song Trilogy” which consisted of the first movement,”El Tortillero”, the second movement,” Lament- Huanito”, and their third movement, ” Riqui Ran”. Latin Folk Song was filled with fun, speedy melodies while also having moments of emotional, sad sounds.
The judges loved our songs and better be prepared for what else our band has in store!
