Working Overtime  In a close game with O’Connor the Hawks played into overtime, the Hawks trailed 3 points behind with an end score of 27-30; leaving the team with an overall record of 1-3 so far. “We have not tapped into our potential yet but when we do it will be scary,” Senior Hamidou Diallo said. The next game will be against Stevens, on Nov. 6 at Gustafson stadium.  Varsity Volleyball

Team effort In an intense game with the Taft Raiders, the lady Hawks were victorious with a score of 3-0, and have had a good season despite the challenges of COVID-19 with a 11-3 record so far. “My season has gone amazingly well, I love my team. Fall Softball

Grit Junior Sydney Holmes runs a 5k at Gustafson stadium, leading the pack of girls. Holmes went on later to get second place in the 6a district meet with a time of 19:53 earning her a spot in the regional meet along with Senior Hannah Gager Evans. “Although we weren’t necessarily in our tiptop shape, we were prepared and ready. It was difficult not having those vital months of training when other districts and schools could, but I’ve always took pride in this teams grit and resilience,” Holmes said. 

 

Tennis 

Backswing Playing against Taft, Throwing the ball up and pulling her racket back, Sophomore Emily Clemments prepares to serve. Clemments unfortunately lost her singles match but came back and was victorious in her doubles match. “Before the match I run through how I want the match to go, and how I plan to win.
