Soul Movie Review

Soul is a PG-rated Disney Pixar film directed by Pete Docter. It was released on Christmas Day 2020, and is a comedy for the whole family. The theme of the movie is finding your meaning in life.

Soul is about a man who loves music with all his heart, but can’t seem to make it his career. He is always bouncing from job to job and never commits to anything. As soon as he gets a shot at something big, he meets a terrible accident, but his soul lives on. As a soul, he tries to find a way to return to his body so he can continue his life but along the way he finds out the meaning of life.

Soul uses a lot of subtle but effective techniques to bring the movie to life. It uses nostalgia to make the audience relate themselves to the man. I really enjoyed how the whole time creators were constantly foreshadowing the plot. The movie delivered well on it’s point and theme by having a consistent, interesting plot. The movie performed really well when it comes to making you feel for the characters. You have to pay attention, because if you miss one thing, then it will throw off the rest of the movie for you. Other than that, I really enjoyed this movie. I would put it in my “top five” favorite Disney movies of all time because It really grabbed my attention. I would definitely recommend this movie for anyone.

All-in-all I say that this movie has a strong message with an interesting plot. It delivers the message well, and I loved it.
