As fall sports enter into the heat of their schedules and collect themselves for records and playoff-runs, the players are reflecting. Meanwhile, theatre is preparing for their fall musical performances of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory starting on October 12.
Football is off to it’s first three and two start since the 2001 football season, and the team is holding a high standard for themselves.
“Our goal is to make the playoffs. It’s been our goal for the past two years, but we really feel like we have a better shot at it this year because we’re trying to improve every year,” senior John Duhon said.
Under a new head coach, volleyball is making adjustments and gaining momentum for the final stretch of the regular season.
“We have the potential, it’s just putting it all together and making sure we useĀ our momentum during the games and make use of everything we do positive, and try not to dwell on the negative,” senior Anabel Korrodi said.
The tennis team started the year with some big wins, and are seeing major improvements on the court, and being recognized by other schools as a competitive threat.
“Our season has been going really good we’ve been making a lot of improvements to our game and we’re winning games and losing games but we’re always taking positives from the negatives,” junior Ryan Moreno said.
While student-athletes are putting in the work to perform on the field or court, student-actors are putting in the work on stage to prepare for their fall musical performances of Willy Wonka, dedicating immense time and effort to ensure a great show.
“We prepare by going home, going over our scripts, singing in our heads, going over our lines in our heads, practicing after school every day, and even get to it during the day,” senior Eboni Oglsby said.
