Nuestra Misión – Our Mission
Español 6 Honores tiene la meta de proveer más representación hispana en el periodismo de nuestra escuela. Queremos resaltar las historias y opiniones de nuestra comunidad latina. Para hacer esto, vamos a tener entrevistas con figuras importantes en la comunidad hispana, escribir artículos sobre temas que afectan la población hispanohablante, y publicar los logros de nuestros estudiantes. ¡Estamos muy emocionados por empezar este viaje de iluminación contigo!
The goal of the Spanish 6 Honors class is to provide more Hispanic representation in our school’s journalism program. We want to highlight the stories and opinions of people in our Latinx community. To do this, we are going to have interviews with important Hispanic figures, write articles about topics affecting Spanish speaking populations, and publish student spotlights on our talented peers. We are very excited to start this journey of illumination with you!

Biografías – Bios
Tatiana Barajas
Tatiana es estudiante del duodécimo grado y presidenta de su capítulo de la Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica. Ella desea ser profesora de matemáticas para compartir su pasión por esta materia con las futuras generaciones. Le encanta aprender sobre nuestro idioma español porque se siente más conectada con sus raíces mexicanas.
Tatiana is a senior in high school and is president of her school’s Spanish National Honor Society chapter. She dreams of being a professor in order to share her love of mathematics. She loves to learn more about the Spanish language because it makes her feel more connected to her Mexican culture.
Ashleigh Esquivel
Ashleigh Esquivel es estudiante de cuarto año de preparatoria. A ella le apasionan la cultura y el lenguaje de los países hispanohablantes. Rápidamente se enamoró del lenguaje de español porque es una manera de comunicarse con personas diferentes y hacer una conexión más profunda con su herencia mexicana. Aparte de español, a Ashleigh le gusta tocar su violín, mirar los programas de televisión de fantasía, y escuchar música alternativa.
Ashleigh Esquivel is a senior who is very passionate about the culture and language of Spanish speaking countries. She quickly fell in love with the Spanish language because it provided a way to communicate with an entirely new population and make a deeper connection with her Mexican heritage. Apart from Spanish, Ashleigh also loves playing her violin, watching fantasy TV shows, and listening to alternative music.
