The Wild Jordan Football Team

Cyles Salazar (8)

We were all pumped, but it was hot. So hot. And being in full pads did not help. We had sweat dripping from our backs, legs, arms, foreheads, and hair. Our helmets trapped the heat only causing more sweat. But that was not going to keep us from playing our best. Football season is here!

Game 1 vs Zachary

8th graders home field advantage against Zachary Middle School. PC- Karlee Willmann

Our 8th grade Jaguars had the home team advantage playing their first home game against the Zachary Wolverines. The stands were filled with parents and students ready to watch our boys win. And win they did! The first touchdown goes to Javon Daniels with his 40 yard gain. After the first score, the other team woke up and we had to stay on our toes. Getting hard heads back into the game, Jonathan Fuentes scored the winning touchdown. A team won 48-0, B team won 30-0.

Our 7th grade boys played away from their home field and pushed their drills and hard work to the limit. Being the first time this group of boys have come together and played the game, they fought to stay in the game. Unfortunately our A team lost 0-7 and our B team tied 7-7.

Game 2 vs Jefferson

Our 8th grade team hit the road and played Jefferson on their field. Our teams pushed and fought, giving the game their all. Since most of the team had played together last year, our  A team won 14-0. However, our B team had some players out that really could have helped our team win, but our B team ended with a 0-12 loss.

The 7th grade Jaguars were thrilled and proud to bring their game to home field advantage. The stands were filled with parents and sprinkles of students throughout which helped encourage the 7th graders to play their best. Jamari Sumpter scored the games’ 2 touchdowns, leaving the A team with a 12-0 win. B team gave it their all but sadly lost 0-28.

Make sure that you catch our Jaguar athletes at their next game against Stinson.
