The school band & orchestra concerts have come and gone. With a little talent, a lot of practice, and great support the concert season has begun.

“It was one of the greatest concerts ever,” said the school counselor Ms. Garcia. She continued, “The orchestra concert had a really great turn out.”

They used red lights to create the spooky mood.

Orchestra started off with the Junior Varsity playing some great tunes, even the audience was thrilled! Among the traditional orchestra, they played some crowd favorite Halloween songs. Then there was a performance by the Quatro Amigos who were 4 advanced students that were pulled aside and showcased. This four piece orchestra played various strings instruments and wowed the crowd with the spooky sounds of Michael Meyers.

Mr. Young led his group into performing a great concert. Some of the other favorite songs were: Como Va, Funky Town, & Kadince. The members wore all black and they had nice red lights on the stage that added to the spooky atmosphere of nice music.

The band’s concert was another lovely start to the opening up concert season. Between the different classes, they had a variety of music that included your traditional UIL sounds with just a nice sprinkle of Halloween classics throughout the evening. Proud parents, siblings, and classmates were in attendance to watch the Fall Concert.

These being just the first concerts of the year, we are in for a real treat for the future.
