Expressing Talent

Seven acts performed this year at the talent show on May 4th at 6 p.m in the auditorium. So far the junior class has rounded up singers, dancers and bands. Auditions were held on April 10th and April 13th. That gave two weeks for performers who auditioned to perfect their act for the actual talent show.

“This gives students the chance to express their talents and show their creativity and enjoy their passion in a social setting that they might not get outside of school,” class of 2024 president Danielle Rodriguez said.

Based on the auditions, the class of 2024 officers and sponsors determined the performance order.

“A good performance is one that engages with the audience and holds their attention. The performer has confidence and good stage presence.”  Class of 2024 Sponsor Kimberly Ahokas said.

Senior Thomas Spencer is one of the seven acts performing in the talent show and is a musician that usually performs in New Braunfuels, Houston and Austin.

“This seemed like the easiest way for my friends to come and see me play since I don’t play too many shows in San Antonio, any chance I get to play in front of others to entertain them is always fun and exciting.” Thomas Spencer said.
